Position Overview
The Technical Lead is a hands-on leadership role that bridges engineering execution with team and task management. This role is accountable for driving successful technical delivery while overseeing distributed development teams across the U.S., Eastern Europe, and India.
You’ll collaborate closely with client stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and offshore developers to ensure solutions are delivered on time, meet functional and performance standards, and reflect our platform’s AI-driven capabilities. You’ll also contribute to the company’s 2025 goal: improving organizational performance by 40% through generative AI tools.
Key Responsibilities

Project & Task Management

  • Break down solution architectures into executable tasks and lead sprint execution across time zones
  • Coordinate and manage task assignment, prioritization, and progress tracking
  • Ensure clarity of expectations and consistent quality standards
  • Proactively manage timelines, blockers, and change requests

Technical Leadership

  • Contribute code to critical components and oversee code quality
  • Conduct code reviews, integration testing, and deployment validations
  • Produce detailed system designs with architects
  • Translate architecture into detailed plans and backlog items
  • Identify technical risks and drive continuous improvement

Client-Facing Collaboration

  • Join client meetings and demos to represent the delivery team
  • Act as a technical point of contact during implementation
  • Translate requirements into development tasks and documentation
  • Support incident response and communication during critical issues

Generative AI Enablement

  • Promote and model use of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cline)
  • Lead AI-driven productivity initiatives in engineering and QA
  • Train offshore teams on AI tool adoption and use

Offshore Team Oversight

  • Build strong relationships with Eastern Europe and India partners
  • Ensure alignment and consistent collaboration
  • Schedule overlap sessions as needed to maintain momentum
  • Mentor offshore team leads and individual contributors

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, 4+ in a tech lead role
  • Proven success managing distributed engineering teams
  • Strong backend experience in Java + Spring, SQL/NoSQL; Python or JS/TS is a plus
  • Familiar with CDPs, CRM systems, and cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Agile development, sprint planning, and backlog management expertise
  • Strong communicator with clients and cross-functional teams
  • Offshore team experience (Eastern Europe and India)
  • Comfortable using or learning generative AI tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
