Serco are recruiting for a Technical Lead & Key Account Manager to join our Technology Hub at our Waterlooville site. Reporting to the Contract Director, this role will have high levels of autonomy to develop customer relationships and collaborate to provide innovative technical solutions to current or potential customer problems. The incumbent will work closely with the Technology Hub engineering team to ‘bring to life’ product development and ensure project success.
Serco Technology Hub at Waterlooville is the technology capability of Serco UK & Europe providing high integrity test solutions, through life support, data acquisition/simulation and technical consultancy.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsible for key account relationships and support to Technology Hub projects and bids through the understanding of customer requirements and collaboration with the customer to identify technical solutions and product improvements.
Act as a point of contact for new opportunities and new customer requirements.
Be the interface between Serco legal/commercial/finance and technical/bid teams to ensure the right technical solutions are presented for optimum customer satisfaction with acceptable business performance.
Maintain customer accounts and tracking of opportunities to support the ongoing business plan and forecasting.
Input into the development of architectural & detailed hardware designs utilising COTS / bespoke components and the production of plans, specifications & support documentation.
Contribute to design reviews and development of verification and acceptance test strategies.
Maintain a full understanding of test, commissioning, integration acceptance & PDS activities including obsolescence management.
Deliver in a manner that meets the contractual requirements and the relevant internal processes.
Lead the strategic positioning of Technology Hub with respect to technical capability and solutions.

Responsibilities

Honours Batchelors Degree / HND Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong background in either Test Engineering or Data acquisition, ideally in avionics systems
Strong Stakeholder Management experience
Well-established interpersonal and communications skills - ability to present complex technical ideas to non-technical personnel and to clearly articulate concepts to people with varying levels of subject expertise
Experience of Project and Account Management, managing successful bids and ability to deliver high quality formal reports and presentations
Commercial awareness in industries aligned with Technology Hub
Flexible for some travel in the UK, occasionally overseas
Applicants will be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level
