This is a technical leadership opportunity for a planner with strong consultancy and infrastructure experience to lead projects that shape the future of New Zealand. You'll bring proven expertise in delivering planning outcomes on medium to large sized projects, experience winning work and managing client relationships, and a keen awareness of the current planning environment. Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers variety and will see you: * Fulfilling the role of Planning Lead on medium to large sized multi-disciplinary projects including coordination of planning, environmental assessment and engagement services  * Overseeing the quality of technical deliverables and providing peer reviews * Acting as a Project Manager for moderately complex projects including financial and programme management, collaborating effectively with project stakeholders to ensure positive client experience in project delivery * Leading and contributing to the preparation of proposals * Seeking out business development opportunities in a client-facing role – working closely with clients to understand their needs. There are opportunities for you to take responsibility for key client portfolios * Playing a key role in growing our infrastructure planning presence in the market * Working with a national team of planners, including learning from our highly experienced Technical Directors and supporting the growth and development of less experienced planners, coaching and motivating them to deliver quality outcomes for our clients  * Growing and developing professionally through mentoring, training, and active involvement in professional organisations and our GHD global technical communities * Being part of our diverse, collaborative and supportive GHD culture, with the ability to work flexibly for work-life balance About you: * Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years’ experience in planning ideally with a focus on infrastructure * Full Membership of the NZPI * Respected technical planning professional with strong consultancy background  * Experience in client management and business development * Excellent people and networking skills  * Proactive, decisive, and developed problem-solving skills * Strong analytical thinker; self-motivated and energetic * Enthusiastic to work collaboratively with other technical disciplines and think laterally to deliver integrated solutions on multi-disciplinary projects Click ‘Apply’ to submit your CV or reach out to Zen Chua (zen.chua@ghd.com [zen.chua@ghd.com]) for more information.
