Description

At Horizontal Digital, we hold ourselves to one key belief: You’re only as good as your worst customer experience. This mantra is what drives our digital consultancy to think beyond the easy answers and instead create websites, apps, portals and other experiences that solve customer needs for Fortune 500 companies in intuitive and empathetic ways. And we make this lofty standard a reality by fusing strategy, data, design and technology together to arrive at solutions that set the bar higher for everyone.
We use these values to fuel superior results:

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and lead technical discovery workshops to document detailed architecture, data management, integration requirements, and automation strategies for Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Synthesize complex business and technical requirements into actionable and comprehensive solution designs while collaborating with technical and functional teams for documentation and implementation.
  • Assess current-state marketing ecosystems, subscriber management frameworks, and journey automation processes, and define future-state architecture with a gap analysis across people, processes, and technology.
  • Refine, design, and configure data models within Marketing Cloud, ensuring alignment with subscriber journeys, personalization strategies, and SFMC best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement integration strategies using APIs, ETL tools, and middleware solutions to connect SFMC with Salesforce Core, Data Cloud, and other platforms.
  • Oversee the execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet client expectations and deliver quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, providing enablement training on Salesforce Marketing Cloud features and driving adoption.
  • Advocate for data governance, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and email deliverability best practices.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including scoping, solution estimation, and proposal development in collaboration with Sales and Go-to-Market teams.
  • Contribute to organizational growth by creating thought leadership content, building reusable assets, delivering internal training, and mentoring teams to scale SFMC expertise.
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring effective time allocation between billable utilization and team leadership responsibilities.
