We’re looking for a Technical Lead to join our Alternative Payments Operations team (WPAP) You will be the key business contact for specialist knowledge to provide accurate advice and information to both internal and external sources. What you’ll own as the Tech Lead: Acts as the primary point of contact for query escalations, taking full ownership from investigation through to resolution. Provides team support for incident management activities as required. Completes all daily data uploads and proactively identifies opportunities for automation and process improvement. Validates and approves simple journal entries; prepares more complex journals for managerial review and approval. Performs root-cause analysis on complex reconciliation discrepancies and produces clear MI reporting for distribution. Investigates and resolves complex aged items, ensuring effective communication and engagement with stakeholders. Executes daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation sign-offs and conducts QA sampling in line with SOX compliance requirements. Oversees monthly aged break reviews and prepares corresponding reports. Sign off daily checklist Performs month-end close activities accurately and within deadlines. Prepares and reviews balance sheet reconciliations, including ARCS submissions. Takes ownership of audit-related tasks, ensuring they are fully resolved and documented. Leads smaller-scale projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Ensures appropriate communication during major incident management situations. Maintains team accreditation documentation, ensuring sign-off following completion of training. Delivers training and knowledge transfer to Accountant I colleagues, addressing identified process or skills gaps. Advanced working knowledge of Excel Understanding of WPAP platform and products Skilled in analytical and statistical examination. Good communication skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
