On behalf of our Global Asset Management client, Procom is searching for a Technical Lead, Web Development (Java, Spring Framework, Vue.js, Docker, and Kubernetes) for a 12-month role. This position is onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

TECHNICAL LEAD, WEB DEVELOPMENT (JAVA, SPRING FRAMEWORK, VUE.JS, DOCKER, AND KUBERNETES) - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Technical Lead will provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers in the Global Asset Management department. The role involves working on data platform projects, developing data products, and enhancing the data hub portal using the core technology stack. The position requires extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, Vue.js, Docker, and Kubernetes.

TECHNICAL LEAD, WEB DEVELOPMENT (JAVA, SPRING FRAMEWORK, VUE.JS, DOCKER, AND KUBERNETES) - MANDATORY SKILLS:

Extensive technical expertise in software engineering, system architecture, design, and deployment processes
Strong focus on Java, Spring Framework, Vue.js, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience in leading and managing distributed or offshore software development teams
Proficient in Agile methodologies
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Grafana and the ELK Stack
Experience overseeing end-to-end deployments

TECHNICAL LEAD, WEB DEVELOPMENT (JAVA, SPRING FRAMEWORK, VUE.JS, DOCKER, AND KUBERNETES) – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

A good eye for UX design
Familiarity with modern SaaS platforms for analytics and monitoring
Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks
Awareness of AI/ML concepts or frameworks

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance and support to the team in the core technology stack
Lead a team of off-shore developers, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery across time zones
Oversee end-to-end deployments, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production environments
Collaborate closely with UX designers to deliver intuitive user experiences
Offer expert technical guidance on database design, optimization, and management for relational databases
Utilize Agile methodologies and project management tools to ensure efficient and organized workflows
