We are a family run wholesale catering butchers, supplying to schools, hospitals, care homes, restaurants and hotels.
Job description;
The opportunity for a new Technical Manager / assistant for a thriving catering butchers in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
To take a leading role in day to day Quality Management Systems working in conjunction with BRCGS version 9.
Your duties will start each day within our refrigerated production unit carrying our essential inspections in conjunction with our HACCP plans and QA procedures.
You will be monitoring our butchers and all production staff, ensuring there is full compliance in their training.
Liaising daily with the Factory Manager and Operations Director.
Ideal Candidate requirements are as follows, although training could be given to the right candidate.
Good communication and people skills are an advantage.
Good IT and organisation skills will be required.
A minimum of 3 years working as a Quality Assurance Manager or Technical manager in the food industry, preferably the meat industry
Qualified to Food Hygiene & HACCP level 3 as minimum preferable.
Full understanding of BRCGS version 9 .
Highly motivated and proactive with the ability to multi task in a high paced environment
Work both independently and as part of our Core Management Team
Excellent at cross referencing QA documentation and proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
Microbiological sampling and interpreting the results from an external laboratory.
To have completed an auditing course would be advantageous.
Maintain the Quality Management System and have full knowledge of HACCP, TACCP & VACCP
