An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager to join our experienced Development team!
This post will provide geographical resource for Staffordshire, Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin regions to support the delivery of the expanding Development Programme.
As one of our Technical Managers, you will assist with the preparation, revision and delivery of the Group’s growing Development Programme, comprising mixed tenures i.e. Open Market sales and rents and Affordable developments across Staffordshire, Telford and Wrekin and Shropshire.
Taking responsibility for and inspecting and reporting on construction activities and quality of workmanship in accordance with the contract scheme specification, design, health and safety requirements in compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, current Building Regulations and in accordance with the Homes England’s requirements from construction inception, practical completion and defects liability periods.
You will provide construction technical solutions and design advice relating to designated Development schemes/projects.
Represent the company at monthly site meetings including acting as leading client’s representative for designated small to medium size schemes/projects, including liaison with building contractors, developers, consultants, authorities, councils, local communities etc.
Take responsibility for the organisation of our periodic Health & Safety Site Conformity Reports prepared by our designated schemes Principal Designer for designated schemes/projects all in compliance with CDM Regulations 2015.
Ideally you, you will have a proven track record and experience in a similar role or role such as construction site agent/manager, together with an in depth knowledge of related construction, Housing, Development, refurbishment/ regeneration work.
You will be educated to HNC/HND or City & Guilds level in a construction related discipline or have an equivalent track record and knowledge through work experience and training in construction and or new build development or relevant technical discipline e.g. Construction site management or Clerk of Works role.
You must hold a full, valid and clean drivers licence
We have offices in Shrewsbury and Stafford. This post offers a flexible base with the requirement to work across all sites and home/mobile working as necessary.
