Job Summary

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and highly driven Technical Manager to join our team. This role is designed for a true self-starter with excellent communication skills, close attention to detail, and a focus on "sales through service." In this role, you will lead the management of complex technical information, building control files, and project specifications while naturally driving business growth by delivering a high-value client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Managing, reviewing, and organizing technical information, construction drawings, and risk data for structural warranties.
  • Utilizing a "sales through service" approach—identifying client needs during consultation and naturally introducing appropriate insurance requirements with an introduction through our sales team.
  • Proactively handling all technical client enquiries, incoming applications, and communication via phone and email.
  • Liaising closely with insurance underwriters, surveyors, building control teams, and clients to ensure all technical project requirements are met.
  • Maintaining precise digital project files, organising client records internally within our central systems.
  • Guiding clients seamlessly through technical onboarding to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.

Essential requirements:

  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently and confidently manage clients from initial onboarding to achieving successful completion, working to the deadlines of their new build developments.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple client files and tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven track record in a client-facing role with an ability to drive "sales through service."
  • Experience managing technical documents (experience in construction, structural warranties, building control, or insurance brokerage is highly desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, confident manner when handling high-value clients.
  • A self-motivated attitude with close attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with CRM systems—specifically HubSpot—is highly desirable.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience).
  • On-site free parking.
  • Company Bonus Scheme.
  • Annual leave including bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Opportunities for professional development within the insurance brokerage industry.
  • Friendly, collaborative team environment.
