Description

Join us as the Technical Manager in our Glasgow production plant. In this role you will need to lead and manage the plant’s technology engineering team, ensuring compliance with automotive industry requirements, environmental standards, and food safety protocols (HACCP, Kosher, Halal).
The role involves continuous improvement of processes, product quality, and alignment with customer needs, acting as part of the site leadership team to shape vision and strategy for the Glasgow site.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering field,
  • 6–10 years of technical experience in product realization within manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a management role,
  • Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills,
  • Continuous improvement mindset and Six Sigma (Black Belt preferably) certification will be considered as an advantage,
  • Familiarity with PPAP, parts submission warrants, and AIAG core tools will be considered as an advantage,
  • Certification in VDA 6.3 and knowledge of TS 16949 will be considered as an advantage,
  • Expertise in statistical process control, ISO standards, and quality assurance techniques will be considered as an advantage,
  • Strong ability to set priorities, manage resources, and lead teams.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct process engineering activities, including product specification reviews and quality analysis,
  • Collaborate with R&D and global product line teams to develop optimized processes, testing procedures, and compliance with ISO and food safety standards,
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, employing control and statistical methods,
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and performance metrics,
  • Ensure effective management of change (MOC) processes, maintaining alignment with industry standards and quality goals,
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of products and processes to drive continuous improvement and engineer development,
  • Support audits, resolve customer complaints, and address internal non-conformances,
  • Set departmental KPIs in line with business objectives and ensure their achievement,
  • Provide leadership and coaching to staff, managing performance and development aligned with HR policies.
