In this role, you will conduct security control assessments for various information systems, ensuring the overall effectiveness of security controls. You will be integral in assessing vulnerabilities and conducting audits to support compliance with regulations. Working remotely, you will collaborate with numerous teams while employing frameworks like NIST to enhance security postures. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding teams in maintaining a secure and compliant information environment. \n Accountabilities Conduct security control assessments of information systems to evaluate their effectiveness. Perform audits of security controls to ensure continuous monitoring and compliance. Develop and document security assessment plans and reports. Assist in the development of a Security Control Assessment strategy. Manage the assessment schedule and task assignments to the security assessment leads. Conduct kick-off and summary briefings for security assessments. Analyze and document vulnerabilities and findings from security assessments. Engage with various teams to gather necessary documentation and support for assessments. Requirements 8 years of experience in security programs or 5 years with a master’s degree. 5 years of experience in auditing and/or assessments. Proficient in NIST Cybersecurity Framework and related publications. Strong knowledge of security assessment methodologies and documentation. Experienced with NIST 800-53 and 800-53A standards. Expertise in privacy impact assessments and risk assessments. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in using security assessment tools such as Nessus and Splunk.
