Description
Job Requirements At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster. Role Summary We are looking for a Technical Manager with strong hands-on experience in building WPF-based Windows desktop applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem, with proven delivery in the healthcare domain and integration with medical devices. You will lead a team developing software that connects to and interacts with devices (e.g., diagnostics, monitoring, imaging peripherals), acquires and processes device data, and supports clinical workflows—while meeting high standards for safety, reliability, cybersecurity, privacy (PHI), and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers; set clear goals, provide technical guidance, and support career growth. Own end-to-end delivery: requirements understanding, technical design, implementation, reviews, testing, release, and production support. Drive best practices in coding standards, design patterns, secure coding, and performance optimization. Conduct design and code reviews; enforce quality through unit/integration testing and CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver on roadmap commitments. Plan sprints/releases, estimate work, manage dependencies/risks, and ensure timely delivery. Identify and resolve complex technical issues across the stack; perform root-cause analysis for production incidents. Improve engineering processes and team productivity through automation, tooling, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements relevant to the product/domain. Partner with clinical SMEs, compliance, security, and privacy teams to translate healthcare requirements into implementable technical solutions We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questians are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard. We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21,000 difference-makers in our workplace. Work Experience Required Technical Skills Strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented design; solid understanding of SOLID principles and common design patterns. Strong experience with .NET (.NET Framework and/or modern .NET) and Visual Studio toolchain. Strong hands-on experience with WPF (XAML, styles/templates, data binding, commands) Experience with multithreading/async programming, memory management, and performance tuning for Windows apps. Good understanding of Windows OS fundamentals relevant to desktop applications (processes, permissions, event logs, installers/MSI/MSIX, enterprise deployment considerations, etc.). Experience with source control and branching strategies (Git/Azure DevOps/GitHub). Experience setting up or working with CI/CD pipelines and automated builds/releases. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills (profilers, logs, crash dumps, WinDbg basics a plus). Knowledge in AI tools for improving productivity Leadership & Soft Skills Strong ownership mindset with the ability to balance hands-on technical work and managerial responsibilities. Excellent communication skills—able to explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to coach engineers, handle performance feedback, and foster a culture of quality and accountability. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; comfortable working with ambiguity.
