ABOUT THE PERSON

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable professional with a strong technical background and a commitment to supporting health science education. You’ll enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced, hands-on environment and contributing to the smooth operation of laboratory and simulation spaces.

Key attributes include:

  • A qualification in a related discipline and, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical support position. A qualification in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology would be highly regarded.
  • Practical experience in preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, supporting teaching and research activities, and managing inventory and administrative documentation.
  • A sound understanding of WHS principles and safe laboratory practices, with a proactive approach to compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and engage respectfully with staff, students, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, maintain, and support the operation of laboratory, teaching and research spaces at the Bond Institute of Health and Sport, including equipment setup and in-session technical assistance.
  • Manage inventory and consumables, assist with procurement, and ensure accurate documentation of equipment usage and servicing.
  • Uphold safety and compliance standards, contribute to risk assessments, and support the safe handling and storage of materials.
  • Collaborate with academic and technical staff to support teaching and research activities, continuous improvement, and a positive learning environment
