Description:
6. CONTRIBUTION TO INTERNAL IT PROCESSES AND SERVICES:
- Contribute to CESSDA’s internal IT processes and services, actively seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Support the Main Office’s IT needs and equipment, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting as required.
- Make suggestions and recommendations to enhance internal IT processes, services, and support for the Main Office.
- Collaborate in devising and documenting a repeatable methodology for make-buy decision-making, ensuring optimal resource allocation and technology adoption.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
- Academic degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience).
- Relevant professional experience of at least 2 years in an IT support role, with experience in technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and IT service management.
- Experience in coordinating and collaborating with a group of colleagues, external partners or projects.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Able and willing to travel when required.
Responsibilities:
ROLE
The Technical Officer assists the Head of IT in building, maintaining, and documenting the IT-infrastructure that supports the tools and services provided by the European Research Infrastructure. The officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, resolving technical issues, and providing technical assistance to staff.
By fulfilling this role, the Technical Officer will contribute to the effective functioning of the organisation’s technical capabilities and help achieve the objectives of the European Research Infrastructure. He/she will also ensure connectivity to existing standards, collaborate with stakeholders, and engage with service providers.
