Description
Applications are invited for the above position in Generation Engineering Department. Reporting to the Team Leader of Workshop Team, successful candidate will be assigned to assist team staffs in daily operations for maintaining the availability and services of lifting appliances and lifting gears within GBG Power Stations. The major duties of this position include: Responsibilities: •    Monitor and supervise subordinates and contractors to carry out inspection and maintenance of lifting appliance and lifting gear and be accountable for the safety and quality work execution at sites; •    Coordinate lifting appliance project, refurbishment and maintenance with other teams; •    Prepare, review and update documentation and reports; •    Perform site checks and audits to ensure that safety work standards and good housekeeping practices are maintained at sites. Requirements: •    Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering plus at least 2 years’ relevant experience or an Ordinary Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic discipline plus 4 years’ relevant experience; •    Possession of Registered Electrical Worker Class A license is preferable; •    Solid experience in engineering, maintenance, commissioning or installation of heavy mechanical equipment or facilities; •    Past exposures in power plant lifting appliance in PLC control and lifting gear work, experience with contractor management will be definite advantage; •    Enable to communicate technical concepts, read, and understand engineering drawings; •    Understanding of Lifting Appliance & Lifting Gear standards and codes of practice in Hong Kong; •    Familiar with Safety, Health and Environment related regulations and ordinances and possess good safety awareness; •    Possession driving license of Class 1 & 2 is preferable; •    Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AUTOCAD; •    A good team player with strong analytical skill and self-initiative; •    Good communication and supervisory skills.
