Description

Department: Black Point Power Station Work location: Tuen Mun Applications are invited for the above position in Generation Business Group. Reporting to the Team Leader, the appointee will be assigned to multi-disciplinary work teams responsible for the effective maintenance of plant and equipment within the assigned area. Major duties include: - • Ensure maintenance work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and up to the required engineering standard. • Supervise maintenance activities to ensure they are conducted according to schedule, quality requirements and relevant codes of practice. • Provide technical guidance to contractors, particularly on valve and pump refurbishment. • Monitor work quality including welding, lifting operations and equipment commissioning. • Analyze equipment fault and defects and arrange for necessary spare parts. • Prepare, review and update maintenance records and reports. • Explore and implement innovative idea on maintenance practices to enhance efficiency, safety and overall performance. • Promote and enforce safe working practices to ensure works are completed to required standard. • Support station operation through participation in Maintenance-Operator. Carry out operational activities under assignment. Requirements: • A Higher Certificate or Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Engineering discipline related plus 2 years’ relevant experience or an Ordinary Certificate in Mechanical or Engineering discipline related plus 4 years’ relevant experience. • Solid experience in maintenance of water tube boiler or high-pressure steam system or heavy machinery equipment. • Familiar with Safety, Health and Environment related regulations and ordinances and possess good safety awareness. • General computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Office. • Proven supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills. • Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
