You’ll provide high-quality technical and engineering support across laboratories and workshops — helping students and staff bring ideas to life. From maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe, efficient environment, to guiding practical work and contributing to innovative research and commercial activities, this is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. Salary will be in the range of $71,275 - $84,695 per year. This will be based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. Along with your relevant qualification and/or suitable industry experience, ideally you will also have: Industry experience with knowledge of modern design and manufacturing processes in the engineering sector Experience in prototyping - laser cutting, 3d printing with FDM, SLA, DLMS Proven experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software packages Experience in engineering workshop skills and basic electronic & micro controller skills Proven skills in trouble shooting and problem solving Commitment to health and safety obligations and laboratory maintenance Full New Zealand driver’s licence In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a fast learner, work in a team and support undergraduate and post graduate students and industry projects.
