We are looking for a capable and detail-focused Technical Officer -Stack Testing & Monitoring, who will be responsible for the collection and processing of environmental monitoring data and equipment maintenance.
This is an excellent role for someone with exceptional attention to detail, who enjoys collaborating with a variety of stakeholders and working with different teams. This role requires you to be able to safely work across sites and ensure that monitoring is safely completed as per schedule.

Reporting to the Superintendent- Environment and working in a diverse team within the Health, Safety, and Environment Team, you will:

  • Implement, maintain, and complete environmental monitoring and measurement to demonstrate compliance with the environmental licence. This includes routine emissions monitoring of stacks and release points.
  • Collecting environmental samples and monitoring data including Air emissions monitoring onsite.
  • Maintaining equipment including servicing and calibrations
  • Co-ordinate land management activities such as inspections, weed management and controlled burns of the buffer zone,
  • Engaging with multiple departments for monitoring and sampling requirements
  • Entering monitoring results and maintenance of database/s
  • Assist in the assessment of compliance with environmental licence conditions through inspection of work areas to monitor the effectiveness of controls and provide advice on incident response and ensure incidents are closed out as directed
  • Reviewing data trends and contribute to continual improvement of the implementation of monitoring systems
