Technical Operations Engineer
Sunstates Security is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Engineer for a client in downtown Raleigh. The embedded TechOps Engineer will work in a global team environment to support Integrated security installations, ongoing service support and provide key support for the Regional Security Managers (RSM) Information Sharing And Analyst Center (ISAAC) operations and HR People Team. The role provides leadership and delivery to the processes, goals and objectives of the team.

Responsibilities
  • Professionally communicate project and program statuses to RSMs and other team members.
  • Monitor service performance. Analyze repeat or escalated service issues. Point of contact for escalated issues that aren’t resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Professionally manage VAR or other provider relationships. Assist in VAR qualification. Communicate with VARs during projects, service and technology projects. Professionally maintain relationships.
  • Perform all technical system programming on large or new construction works, capital projects, or other improvement projects. Act as a backup for the Program Manager.
  • Responsible for preparing new and existing site projects with baseline VMS, Camera, Access Control, and other Security related programming. Basic troubleshooting as required.
  • Basic IT networking skills and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of lnfoSec requirements to include PIA’s, VRA’s and ESS assessments.
  • Provide special project support to System Engineer and/or System Administrator as assigned by PgM i.e. assisting with upgrades or new systems hardware, software and server/network.
  • Provide typical project administrative functions as assigned on all efforts including building security layouts, change history, programming records, close out documents, bid packages and other PMO tools.
  • Must be certified and capable of configuring and programming of AMAG and Milestone at a minimum or have the capacity to do so in a defined period.
  • Coordinate activities with the Security Operations Center (ISAAC) globally.
  • Provide assistance to ISAAC personnel, VARs, as well as internal customers and stakeholders in daily break-fix reported in all Red Hat office locations.
  • Assist local VAR in trouble-shooting systems issues and acceptance testing activities.
  • Supporting and enhancing site security operations.
  • Protecting Company Intellectual and Physical assets.
  • Establish, manage, and maintain the operation of site security systems including Access Control, CCTV, Telephony and related systems.
  • Provide timely support to special assignments from superiors.COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to read and markup AutoCad drawings.
  • Working closely with other regional TechOps Engineers and administrators, to maintain proficiency of current software versions and skill of Lenel, Milestone, Envoy and HR Software as needed.
