Description Job Title: Technical Performance and Training Specialist Department: Customer Support Reports To: Sr. Director - Customer Support Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Performance and Training Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical performance of the Technical Services team and ensuring that employees are well-trained in relevant technologies, tools, and systems. You will play a key role in identifying training needs, designing performance optimization strategies, and implementing training programs to enhance team proficiency and productivity. Key Responsibilities: • Technical Performance Management: • Evaluate and analyze the technical performance of the team to ensure the successful completion/adherence of performance tasks and guidelines. • Identify performance gaps and provide actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity. • Develop/adjust and implement performance metrics and KPIs to track individual and team progress. • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to leadership about employees on their technical skills and development. • Training Program Development: • Identify and assess technical skill gaps and areas for improvement across the team. • Design and develop training programs that address the specific needs of the team and align with organizational goals. • Create a comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training curriculum for new and existing employees. • Select and implement appropriate training methods and technologies (e.g., in-person, online, workshops, hands-on training, etc.). • Collaborate with department leads to ensure the training content is relevant and up-to-date with the latest technology trends and business requirements. • Team Collaboration and Support: • Work closely with the leadership team to understand business objectives and how technical training and performance can support those goals. • Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to team members when needed. • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. • Continuous Improvement: • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements to keep training programs current and impactful. • Recommend and implement process improvements based on performance evaluations and feedback. • Develop strategies for increasing employee engagement and retention through skill-building and career development. • Reporting and Documentation: • Maintain comprehensive records of training programs, attendance, certifications, and performance evaluations. • Generate reports on training outcomes and team performance for senior management. • Track and report on employee progress, retention, and post-training performance improvements. Requirements Qualifications: • Proven experience in a multi-jurisdictional leadership role in technical management, training, performance management or related role. • Strong understanding of performance metrics, training methodologies, and technical skill development. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt training approaches to different learning styles. • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
