What does a Technical Planner do at APM Terminals? As a Technical Planner, you are responsible for driving the technical planning of maintenance and repair activities across the terminal. You play a key role in ensuring that our equipment is maintained efficiently, safely, and with the right resources in place – from planning to execution. Your main responsibilities include: Planning and scheduling corrective and preventive maintenance (CM & PM) in our CMMS system. Securing resources – ensuring spare parts, materials, and tools are available on time for scheduled work. Analyzing historical maintenance data to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Developing maintenance strategies and enhancing planning processes together with the technical and operational teams. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, such as technicians, operations, and warehouse teams, to optimize workflows. Ensuring data quality and follow-up in the CMMS system, tracking key metrics and completed activities. We are looking for someone who: Has experience in maintenance or production planning, preferably using CMS/CMMS systems such as IFS or similar. Has a fundamental technical understanding of maintenance and a genuine interest in heavy equipment, technology, and industrial processes. Has hands-on experience in maintenance operations from a comparable industry dealing with complex and heavy machinery – such as the automotive, manufacturing, or logistics sectors. Is structured, detail-oriented, and solution-focused, with the ability to prioritize and plan effectively. Communicates clearly and enjoys working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment. Has experience with data analysis and data-driven improvement initiatives. Has knowledge of LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Is fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Application and Security Clearance APM Terminals is part of Sweden’s critical infrastructure.
