Description
We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to lead the growth of our proxy products and the optimization of our proxy networks. Unlike a traditional PM role, this position is infrastructure-heavy. The focus is on network performance, routing efficiency, and latency optimization while UI/UX come second. The "user" is often a developer or an automated system, and the "product" is a high-speed, reliable gateway to the web. Responsibilities Own and optimize the full customer journey of our proxy networks, with primary focus on performance, scalability, routing efficiency, and latency optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially R&D for product development and enhancement Lead continuous improvements of proxy products, track performance KPIs and milestones Translate complex infrastructure requirements into clear product specifications and technical documentation. Ongoing communication with customers Requirements Experience as a Technical Product Manager with prior hands-on experience in Network Engineering, DevOps, or Backend Development Experience in high scale, high performance products e.g. networking, ISP, CDN’s (Cloudflare/Akamai), real time analytics/observability (Splunk, Datadog, Microsoft Eventhouse), or API-first companies Deep understanding of the OSI model, specifically Layer 4 (TCP/UDP) and Layer 7 (HTTP/S). Proxy Protocol Knowledge: Hands-on experience with SOCKS5, HTTP/S proxies, and tunneling protocols. Performance Monitoring: Proven track record of managing products where milliseconds matter. API-First Mentality: Skilled in designing and documenting RESTful APIs; treating Documentation as the "UI." Experience with excel/google sheets, statistical analysis and quantitative methods to measure performance.
Responsibilities
The Technical Product Manager will own and optimize the full customer journey of proxy networks, focusing primarily on performance, scalability, routing efficiency, and latency optimization. This involves collaborating with R&D, tracking performance KPIs, and translating complex infrastructure needs into clear product specifications and technical documentation.
