ABOUT THE ROLE

First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:
Are you passionate about empowering developers and shaping the future of internal platforms? As the Product Manager for our internal Developer Platform, Atlas, you’ll define the vision, strategy, and execution of a robust, developer-friendly platform that enables teams to build, deploy, and operate (micro)services efficiently, securely, and at scale. Working closely with platform engineers, product teams, and stakeholders, you’ll champion best practices, drive adoption of modern DevOps and cloud-native principles, and play a key role in fostering a “you build it, you run it” culture across the organization.
Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of building successful products in SaaS B2B companies, demonstrating a deep empathy for the needs and challenges of our internal and external customers. You’re a natural at applying DevOps principles and can effortlessly bridge the communication gap between engineers and business leaders, translating their insights into a compelling product vision and actionable roadmap.
This role requires a person with a relatively broad skill set – someone with a hands-on understanding of the SDLC, Platform Engineering, and DevOps, coupled with strong cross-functional communication skills. You’ll be the linchpin connecting our platform teams, product teams, and the diverse needs of our stakeholders across the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and own the product vision and roadmap for the internal developer platform, aligning with company strategy and engineering needs.
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify pain points, gather requirements, and prioritize features that improve developer experience and productivity.
  • Advocate for internal developers, ensuring the platform is intuitive, reliable, and supports rapid delivery of (micro)services and features.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in CI/CD, observability, security, and infrastructure as code across the platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, migration, and modernization of existing services onto the platform.
  • Monitor platform usage, collect feedback, and use data-driven insights to continuously improve platform capabilities.
  • Stay current with industry trends in platform engineering, (micro)services, and cloud technologies, and incorporate relevant innovations.
