Responsibilities

As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Being Gatekeeper & Approver for all Product Maintenance Requests (PMR)
  • Supporting Supply Chain: Quality Control Specification Development, Raw Material & Intermediate Qualification, Reviewing Production Preparation Sheets, Containerization Compatibility
  • Supporting Toller: Toller Onboarding, Quality Process Reviews, Toller-owned Raw Material Qualification, & Finished Good Qualification.
  • Supporting Quality: Set quality standards. FRACAS Root Cause Incidents relating to the product.
  • Optimizing Product Cost: Product Re-engineering, Alternative raw material source qualification, Alternative raw material specification qualification
  • Avoiding Cost: Reduce waste and write-offs (SLOB Work-off, Non-Conformances, Shelf-life recertification)
  • Being accountable for the functional, business, and financial performance of the product(s).
  • Serving as the product’s advocate both internally and externally.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to products. Aligns and leverages total supplier base to influence product line and market strategy.
  • Being responsible for the product life cycle and product performance of the product.
  • Leading initiatives that combine product development and process improvement activities.
  • Providing technical support to Service Delivery teams for specific escalation requests.
  • Leading initiatives and associating technologies to drive carbon footprint reduction.
  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Health Safety and Environmental policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree within an appropriate Engineering/Science discipline
  • Have minimum 10+ years’ experience in operations, technology, or technical support in oilfield chemicals.
  • Have deep technical understanding of oilfield production chemicals, including technology development, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.
  • Have awareness of regulatory frameworks including CEFAS and the Harmonised Offshore Chemical Notification Format (HOCNF), with the ability to support chemical registration and environmental compliance in offshore operations.
  • Have working knowledge of REACH and UK REACH regulations, including their influence on supplier due diligence, SVHC tracking, and sustainable product development.
  • Have knowledge of market research and competitive analysis.
  • Have business acumen and understanding of market dynamics
