THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a Technical Product Owner to play a key role in the continued development and scalability of Curve’s platform. Reporting to the Head of Product, you’ll be responsible for defining and delivering solutions that meet both technical and business needs, enabling Curve to scale effectively while continuing to deliver real value to clients in the music industry.
You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, and QA, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution. This is an ideal role for someone with a strong technical foundation, experience working with complex data systems, and a drive to improve platform architecture and performance alongside feature delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the technical backlog across core areas of the platform, ensuring alignment with product strategy and engineering capacity.
  • Translate business requirements and product goals into detailed, technically sound user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering leads and architects to define implementation approaches, clarify constraints, and manage technical dependencies.
  • Partner with QA to support test planning, especially for complex data or infrastructure-related changes.
  • Lead technical refinement sessions and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stand-ups with a technical lens.
  • Help shape Curve’s platform architecture by prioritising scalability, performance, and maintainability alongside product features.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt, streamline data flows, and improve overall system reliability.
  • Champion clear documentation and structured knowledge-sharing around technical components and system behaviour.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (Product, Client Management, Operations) to understand use cases and translate them into robust technical solutions.
