Description

JOIN US AT DANFOSS MARINE SYSTEM SOLUTIONS — WE’RE HIRING A TECHNICAL PRODUCT OWNER

At Danfoss, we’re engineering tomorrow — shaping a cleaner, more sustainable future through electrification, energy efficiency, and integrated solutions across industries. With a strong strategic focus on Marine & Power Conversion, we are at the forefront of enabling next-generation technologies: sustainable mobility, smart grids, energy storage, P2X, high-power charging, and shore power supplies.
We’re now looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our Marine System Solutions development team — someone who can help us turn advanced technology into real-world solutions that matter
About the Technology & How We Work

Our team develops Power Management Systems for hybrid-electric vessels, built on the proven foundation of Danfoss Editron inverters and electrical machines.

  • We build system application software using Beckhoff Automation — combining in-house tools with carefully selected off-the-shelf solutions.
  • We embrace Agile ways of working, including sprint-based development, backlog refinement and prioritization, and regular team retrospectives.
  • Our team values collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

We’re looking for someone with a solid technical foundation and a collaborative mindset. Ideally, you have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Automation, Computer Science, Power Electronics)
  • Understanding of electrical systems, power electronics, and hybridization
  • Experience with PLC programming; knowledge of Beckhoff Automation is a plus
  • Familiarity with marine automation, power and energy management systems, and propulsion control systems
  • Experience with diesel-electric, diesel-battery hybrid, or fully electric vessels is a strong asset
  • Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to work both independently and in multicultural, virtual teams
Responsibilities

What You’ll Do
As a Technical Product Owner, you’ll play a critical role in translating complex customer and market needs into clear, actionable development work.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing and prioritizing the product backlog
  • Leading sprint planning and refinement sessions
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand market and customer needs
  • Acting as a bridge between development teams, customers, and commercial teams
  • Clearly communicating product capabilities to internal and external audiences
