Our I&IT Team is seeking a Technical Product Owner to manage and provide input to the planning and execution of the data platform product roadmap. As part of the team, this role will lead engagement with internal/external stakeholders, including business users to translate customer needs into business outcomes that meet customers’ rapidly growing needs. What will I be doing? Facilitate and leads the business units/stakeholders in identifying gaps, making recommendations for application improvements; Facilitates, leads, and participates in change efforts and provides expert functional support relating to the viability of product design and solutions. Utilize in-depth knowledge of workflows, system configuration, and customizations to design and validate functional and technical solution. Collaborates with assigned business units/stakeholders and vendors to understand product vision, business needs, discuss, capture, and prioritize ideas/needs that require technology enablement and develop product roadmaps. Organizes demand from business units with I&IT application support teams and vendors in order to support quality releases that meet business goals; Responsible for integrating program activities for their assigned product roadmaps; including collaboration with various I&IT teams, service providers, and strategic vendors. Provides functional and technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborate with vendors in order to support quality releases and resolve incidents that meet business goals. Liaises with business stakeholders to understand business priorities and business drivers in order to oversee the prioritization of a release that will meet the business needs. Communicates regularly with the business to understand product vision, business needs and develop product roadmaps to ensure alignment of goals and plans; provides regular updates to stakeholders and provides opportunities for feedback on progress. Through the development of product roadmaps advises the business on how they can leverage technology and innovation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their business. Create and implement a framework to support citizen development. Lead communities of practice for reporting and analytics Manage end-to-end lifecycle for Databricks design and implementation, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need? Completion of a degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline - or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent. Demonstrated experience in progressively advancing roles within IT or related function. Preference given to candidates who have experience with implementing or supporting Enterprise Data Platforms including experience in Data Warehouses, ETL, Data Pipelines, Advanced Analytics, Reporting, and Data Visualization Experience managing source system work streams to integrate onto the data platform. Agile certification (Agile Certified Professional, Certified Scrum Product Owner) an asset. Certified Product Manager an asset. Work with internal teams to create and elicit User Stories, Features, Epics; build backlog Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 an asset. Experience with Cloud Data Platforms (Azure, Databricks) would an asset Experience with Data Analysis and proficiency with SQL and/or Python Experience with Power BI Ensure Data Pipelines and Products meet Business Requirements Create and Track Test Plans, Cases, Scripts Provide Data Platform Support, Migration Planning, and Coordination. Expert knowledge and experience using agile approaches and principles in the IT environment; Expert knowledge and understanding of advance procurement vehicles and their application to I&IT.
