JOB DESCRIPTION:

TD Bank Group is seeking a Technical Product Owner for Wealth AI2, located in Toronto. This role involves leading the delivery of machine learning products, collaborating across teams, and driving innovation to solve strategic business problems with scalable AI solutions.

• Role overview: The Technical Product Owner will translate business problems into data science use cases, manage product vision to backlog, and prioritize features to maximize product value and ROI.
• Agile leadership: They will guide Agile pods to continuously improve sprint delivery and ensure high-quality machine learning product development.
• Stakeholder collaboration: The role requires close work with stakeholders and support functions such as risk, technology, and model risk management to refine opportunities and integrate features.
• Mentorship and team development: Facilitating professional and technical growth of colleagues through mentorship and feedback is a key responsibility.
• Resource management: The Product Owner will anticipate and manage resource needs throughout the model lifecycle, scaling teams as necessary.
• Standards and quality assurance: Championing model development standards, best practices, and rigorous testing protocols to ensure model excellence is essential.
• Required qualifications: Candidates should have a master’s degree in data science, AI, or computer science (or equivalent experience), strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and technical expertise in machine learning, data engineering, MLOps, cloud architecture, and software development.
• Experience levels: candidates need a minimum of ten years delivering major data science projects with leadership experience preferably with Generative AI experience.
• Certifications and tools: Certified Scrum Product Owner or Scrum Master credentials (or equivalent experience) and familiarity with cloud architectures, particularly Azure, are preferred.
