The Product Owner constantly prioritises tasks and squad(s)backlog(s)with the customer at the heart of their decision making. The Product Owner also ensures that the work is strategically aligned to the portfolio mission and engages with other Product Owners to align and manage interdependencies. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.   Role Type: Permanent Work Location: Bengaluru Working Hours: General Shifts (Blended\Hybrid)   Please note that while this advertisement is for a single role, there are multiple vacancies available for this position.What will your day look like?   As a Technical Product Owner you are a:   “T-shaped individual” – Possess a breadth of knowledge in many fields, but also have depth in at least one area of expertise Voice of the customer – Must continually engage with the customer and stakeholders to ensure squad is working on the right things and represents what is valuable to the customer Storyteller – Go beyond the mechanics of chopping up a user story into the product backlog and tells the story that nicely ties together the why, the customer need and the vision Mobiliser – Ability to rally and mobilize informal groups of people around focused tasks and stories Knowledge broker – Enable collaboration and empower the Squad by finding the right people for them to talk to Conflict resolver – Have the courage and the capability to engage when things get difficult and collaborate / mediate to effectively resolve conflict Change Enabler - Passionate ambassador for our new way of working and culture Role Model – Truly embody ANZ’s purpose and values What will you bring?   Must have 8+ years of relevant experience in banking domain with a good understanding of wholesale lending Leads product vision, strategy, and roadmap to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Owns and manages the product backlog, ensuring priorities deliver maximum business value. Collaborates with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define clear goals, outcomes, and success measures. Translates Epics and Features into actionable user stories that enable effective sprint delivery. Monitors product performance and financial benefits, using metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvement. Identifies customer needs and develops customer-led initiatives through data and insights. Drives delivery excellence by removing roadblocks, managing dependencies, and mitigating risks. Actively participates in Agile ceremonies – sprint planning, stand-ups, showcases, and retrospectives. Provides ongoing platform support, including issue and incident management. Builds strong relationships and influences stakeholders to gain alignment and drive outcomes. Applies structured problem-solving and analytical techniques to support decision-making. Detailed Description   Technical Tool Kit:   Candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following technical areas   Software Development Fundamentals: Understanding of programming concepts (Java, Python, .NET). API & Integration: RESTful APIs, microservices architecture. Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP basics. Database Management: SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling. DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps. Agile Tools: Jira, Confluence, Rally. Security & Compliance: Basic application security principles, GDPR awareness. System Architecture: Ability to interpret architecture diagrams and understand scalability concepts.   You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
