EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or strategy roles within the technology sector.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in owning and managing product roadmaps for complex technical products.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience with data-driven decision making and analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution in roadmap management.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field (preferred)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and their application to roadmap planning (preferred)
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles (preferred)
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Apptio) (preferred)
  • Experience in facilitating roadmap prioritization workshops with diverse stakeholders (preferred)
Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Technical Product Strategist is responsible for developing and executing product strategies that align with the Village’s technical capabilities and market opportunities. This role bridges the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders to drive product innovation and growth, with a particular focus on owning and managing the product roadmap.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Product organization in understanding the roadmap based on research , OKRs and business objectives
  • Have deep functional understanding of each product and what business problems they solve
  • Have a deep understanding of the OKRs for each product in their lane and be able to explain and communicate those to the technical teams.
  • Work with the business stakeholders and Product organization to secure funding for product development and technical projects
  • In collaboration with IT Solution Architecture and Product organization work in sizing new IT asks and moving thru the intake process
  • Work in collaboration with the delivery leads as a liaison between stakeholders and IT
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships in collaboration with IT Delivery leads while understanding their technical requirements
