REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in artificial leather manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of PU and TPU materials.
• Proven experience in quality control at scale.
• Strong background in manufacturing for large-scale production in footwear or automotive industries.
• Degree in materials engineering, materials science, textile science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in chemical procurement and secondary processing (e.g., flame lamination, perforation).
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Gmail, Adobe Acrobat.
• Willingness to travel to mill partners in Asia and Mexico.
• High integrity and professionalism in all business dealings.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a pioneering company at the forefront of materials innovation and sustainability. We are seeking a Technical Production Manager with expertise in PU, TPU, rolled polymers, PET materials, or textile engineering to help shape the future of low-carbon materials used in automotive, fashion, furniture, and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity to work with global supply chain and mill partners, influence sustainable material production, and gain RSUs/Equity in a pre-IPO company.
The Technical Production Manager will report directly to the Director of Product Development and play a critical role in advancing high-performance, eco-conscious materials at scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical support to mill partners for material development to meet OEM performance specifications.
• Liaise with mill partners on the implementation of quality control processes and conduct factory audits.
• Lead mill audits with clients and OEMs.
• Partner with nominated third-party laboratories to conduct performance testing required by clients.
• Analyze performance results from internal and external laboratories, providing actionable feedback to mill partners.
• Review lab dips and sample yardage for color, gloss, and haptic accuracy prior to client and U.S. office shipments.
• Coordinate shipments and repackaging of sample rolled goods and lab dips for international clients.
• Develop and maintain production calendars, ensuring projects remain on schedule.
• Spearhead new mill onboarding as necessary.
• Assist with raw material sourcing for material componentry.
