About the job
We're looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to take end-to-end ownership of a major cross-functional platform initiative. You'll sit at the center of engineering, product, QA, and operations — driving the plan, owning the risk register, and making sure the right people know the right things at the right time. You'll also mentor junior TPMs and help raise the program management bar across the wider team.
What the Role Involves
- Owning full lifecycle program management for a significant cross-functional initiative, coordinating closely with engineering, product, QA, and operations
- Keeping project plans, risk logs, velocity tracking, and resourcing visibility current across multiple teams
- Leading stakeholder communication and status reporting, including milestone assurance up to executive level
- Planning and sequencing releases across both the SaaS and on-prem/air-gapped tracks, accounting for their different constraints and timelines
- Running (and steadily improving) sprint reviews, retrospectives, and lessons-learned sessions
- Spotting delivery risk early, escalating it appropriately, and driving mitigation through to resolution
- Mentoring 1–3 junior TPMs and helping embed stronger program discipline across the function
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 6–9 years' experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Project Manager, or similar, with solid grounding in the software delivery lifecycle
- A track record of owning multi-team program delivery in Agile or hybrid environments
- Strong hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or MS Project for program-level tracking
- Strong risk management and communication skills, comfortable reporting to executive stakeholders
- Experience — or genuine comfort — coordinating delivery that spans both cloud SaaS and on-premises/disconnected air-gapped environments
Strongly Preferred
- Experience delivering software in regulated, enterprise, or otherwise mission-critical settings
- A technical background (software engineering, QA, or similar) that allows you to engage credibly on architecture and technical trade-offs
- Experience building or improving program management processes and tooling from the ground up
- A relevant certification — PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or CSPO
