Piper Companies is hiring a Technical Program Manager for a hybrid contract to hire position with a leading provider of healthcare education and workforce development solutions located in Morrisville, NC. The Technical Program Manager role requires a strong technical foundation, deep understanding of system architecture, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. The TPM translates product plans into technology requirements, aligns resources across workstreams, and ensures that technical solutions meet business objectives.

Responsibilities of the Technical Program Manager:

  • Drive end-to-end execution of cross-functional technical programs, ensuring alignment and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI, DevSecOps, and infrastructure teams to manage dependencies and milestones.
  • Translate business goals into technical requirements and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Establish governance frameworks, success metrics, and communication channels across projects.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively while fostering consensus among diverse teams and leadership.

Qualifications of the Technical Program Manager:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development or architecture, with a strong technical foundation.
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • Experience in software-defined infrastructure environments (SDi, SDDC, SDE) and SaaS product organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical/business field.
  • Strong skills in project management, business process improvement, change management, systemic thinking, and communication.
