Technical Program Manager, Energy and Thermal Integration Onsite in Foster City, CA | 5 days in office At Sigma Software Vertex we have set the goal to provide our customers with the highest level of safety while using our fully autonomous vehicles. You will work with a team of world-class engineers with diverse backgrounds such as robotics, control, and vehicle engineering, to deliver the vehicle performance using physical testing, virtual tools and methodologies. In supporting the Energy & Thermal Integration teams in various topics you will be an integral link to successfully developing the Sigma Software Vertex vehicle attributes. What you'll do: Align the Jira tools and formats with the Energy & Thermal Integration Manager, Project Management Office, Software, and Vehicle Program teams.The goal is to have the development plans visible as task lists, Gantt views, including dependencies to system validation milestones, feature development milestones, firmware/software releases, and company milestones. Guide Energy & Thermal Integration Attribute teams in setting up integrated hardware and software development plans in Jira and Sigma Software Vertex quarterly plans, and regularly checking if milestones are on track. Review any deviations with attribute leads and escalate as appropriate. Track progress against plan. Updating of Energy & Thermal Integration heatmap on weekly basis with all attribute leads and aligning with Vehicle Attribute Manager. Budget forecasting review, work with all Energy & Thermal Integration managers, Attributes, test and simulation leads, and firmware/software teams to update forecast on time, and review deviations between actual and forecast on a monthly basis. Support attribute and cross-functional team meetings: Aligning agenda topics and taking attendance, documenting notes and action items, and following up on open actions to ensure timely completion. Track and manage open attribute/vehicle performance issues to ensure gaps are closed out and concerns are addressed with robust solutions in a timely fashion. Develop and maintain dashboards for attribute teams to status, track, and manage issues. Support vehicle retrofit status for VI managed vehicles to help provide visibility of current vehicle configurations. Assist Energy & Thermal Integration Manager in creating agendas and capturing meeting minutes for weekly team meetings. Ensure cross-team alignment by coordinating the Energy and Thermal teams’ roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables, driving an integrated execution plan that supports program objectives. Manage risks and dependencies, proactively identifying cross-team blockers (particularly where thermal performance affects energy performance, or vice versa.) Drive documentation and process improvements, particularly for cross team workflows, change control, and reporting. Coordinate and manage all engineering changes through the formal change control board process, ensuring proper documentation, impact assessment, cross team alignment, and timely implementation. Responsibilities: Support Energy & Thermal Integration team in developing timelines for deliverables. Support Energy & Thermal Integration team in tracking deliverables, timing, and performance. Support Energy & Thermal Integration team in tracking budget forecasts and goods received. Qualifications: Engineering degree, with 4+ years hands on experience in vehicle development. Knowledge of vehicle development cycle, including validation across hardware and software components and subsystems. Proficient in project and issue management tools: Jira, Confluence, and Google suite. Excellent communications skills. Excellent organizational skills.
