Supported by over 385 members globally, the Foundation has an established international reach and reputation.
The Eclipse Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) Working Group is dedicated to developing new and innovative software platforms for the world’s automotive industry. The SDV initiative has the support of leading companies across the automotive, IT, cloud, silicon, and services industries, all of which are necessary to create the platform and ecosystem that will drive innovation for the next generation of mobility solutions. Members of the SDV working group include Accenture, AVL, Bosch, BMW, Capgemini, Cariad, Continental Automotive, ETAS, Futurewei Technologies, Microsoft, Red Hat, Reycom, Mercedes and ZF among others.
The Technical Program Manager is pivotal in facilitating and coordinating the SDV community’s efforts to develop an automotive-grade Core Full-Stack implementation based on open source projects. The software stack must meet high-quality standards to achieve certifiability under the ISO 26262 standard. The Technical Program Manager is responsible for facilitating the adoption of modern toolchains to enhance documentation, ensure requirement traceability, streamline testing, and enable efficient continuous integration and deployment processes.
This effort is key to achieving the vision of the Eclipse SDV Working Group to develop an open technology platform for the software defined vehicle of the future.

The Technical Program Manager liaises with several initiatives in the SDV Working Group ecosystem, facilitating communication and collaboration. The candidate is able to grasp and synthesise the community needs to develop an in-vehicle- and off-vehicle-ready platform, based on a set of components, and the open source projects available.
Hence, the Technical Program Manager has a deep technical knowledge and understanding of the building blocks that can be developed in a non-differentiating, pre-competitive environment such as middleware, abstraction layers, and communication protocols.
