Description
Description Type: Full-Time(W2) On-site/Hybrid, Arlington, VA (Remote option available for the right candidate) DeepSig is a venture-backed AI company building advanced wireless processing software using machine learning. Our products and innovations support next-generation wireless systems across sensing, baseband processing, and Open RAN architectures. We work directly with U.S. Government customers and commercial partners to transition cutting-edge R&D into deployable, carrier-grade systems. We are seeking a Full-time Technical Program Manager to join our team in Arlington, VA, focusing on Strategic Initiatives in 5G and “FutureG” programs. The Department of Defense (DoD) has identified "FutureG" as a critical technology area, launching initiatives to secure US leadership in wireless technologies. This PM position sits at the center of this mission, driving real-world open-source AI software, integration, and delivery of advanced wireless technologies to defense and industry customers alike. This role is for a PM who owns delivery (schedule, scope, budget, risks, subcontractors) and is energized by working at the intersection of emerging technologies and hard, real-world problems. What You’ll be Doing: Directing complete lifecycle oversight of federally funded programs, encompassing opportunity identification and proposal development (BAAs/RFPs), implementation of technically complex pilots, achievement of contractual deliverables, program close-out, and transition to operational / real-world utilization. Working with technical leads to translate SOWs and objectives into executable program plans with clear milestones and deliverables. Driving day-to-day execution to ensure commitments are met on time and within budget. Maintaining program risk registers and mitigation plans across technical, schedule, and resource dimensions. Identifying issues early and driving resolution, escalating with proposed solutions, not just problems. Working closely with engineering leadership to ensure development efforts stay aligned with program commitments. Ensuring work is planned, tracked, and validated against contractual deliverables Supporting execution of integration, test, validation, and deployment activities. Serving as the primary execution interface with Government Program Managers and Contracting Officers. Cultivating trusted relationships with program officers and technical directors at OUSD(R&E), DARPA, DISA, the Service Labs (AFRL, ARL, NRL), industry partners, and others. Ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS, reporting requirements, and contract deliverables. Preparing and submit required program documentation, reports, and milestone artifacts. What we need to see: US citizenship, eligibility for a Secret security clearance. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field. 6+ years of experience managing technically complex programs, including government contracts. Technical fluency, the ability to learn and discuss complex technical concepts (5G architecture, edge compute, AI/ML models) with both engineering teams and government customers. Demonstrated experience operating as a prime contractor with subcontractors. Proven track record of delivering programs with real schedules, budgets, and consequences. Strong organizational discipline and ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for technical and government audiences. What we would like to see: Knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EW) concepts, spectrum management policy, and/or RAN architecture. Experience with 5G, RAN, CU/DU architectures, or wireless ecosystems. Experience managing programs transitioning from prototype to operational deployment. Experience working open-source architectures. PMP or equivalent certification. Secret or higher security clearance. Working at DeepSig DeepSig is growing its technical team while cultivating a collaborative, agile, and fun small-team culture. We value creativity, knowledge sharing, and employee growth, and we encourage participation in scientific publications, conferences, and open-source software. We offer competitive salaries and benefits, an employee stock option grant program, an environment where we are excited to be transforming and disrupting how signal processing is done with AI/ML, a welcoming and inclusive environment, a flexible schedule, and a great work / life balance.
