ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY: The Technical Project Administrator – Permitting / Easements works with internal project teams to ensure administrative and technical support functions related to permitting and easements are delivered accurately and on time. This role supports utility and telecommunications projects by coordinating permitting activities, researching right-of-way and easement information, and maintaining complete and accurate project documentation. The Administrator prepares and manages project packages used by Field Technicians, Designers, Engineers, and Supervisors from initial inquiry through permitting and construction readiness. This position collaborates closely with Project Engineers and Supervisors to coordinate activities, track milestones, and record progress against established goals and metrics. This role is more heavily focused on permitting coordination, easement research, courthouse and public records work, and landowner interaction, with CAD skills serving as a supporting capability rather than a primary responsibility. Monthly travel is required (typically 1–2 times per month), primarily within Georgia and South Carolina, to support courthouse research, municipal coordination, and project-related field activities. Essential Job Functions: Pre-production staging, including office organization, entry of work orders, and preparation/printing of project documentation Coordinate permitting and easement research activities in support of utility and telecommunications projects Research Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), Right of Way (ROW), and easement requirements for each project Visit courthouses, municipalities, and other public agencies, primarily in Georgia and South Carolina, to obtain plats, deeds, easement records, and related documentation Professionally communicate with landowners, municipal staff, and other stakeholders to support easement access and project needs when required Track, follow up, audit, and report permit and easement status to ensure timely acquisition Update and maintain production, metrics, and milestone/schedule reports using Excel and internal data management systems Assist Supervisors and Project Engineers in coordinating project activities and timelines Prepare, organize, and maintain complete permitting and easement documentation for project records Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate and complete project deliverables Read and interpret CAD drawings and plan/profile views to understand scope, locations, and project impacts (editing is a plus, not a primary focus) Understand and differentiate roadway classifications (U.S. Routes, State Routes, County Roads, municipal streets, private roads, toll roads) Final work package close-out and document filing Edit PDFs and prepare permit submittals for clients and municipalities Interpret field information gathered manually or through software such as Katapult Perform basic tracing functions in Katapult as needed Provide high-quality, efficient service with a focus on organization, accuracy, and teamwork Remain flexible, proactive, and resourceful when addressing project issues, taking ownership and proposing solutions Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in administrative and technical project support Other projects and operational duties as assigned Competencies / Skills: Permitting | Easements | Right of Way (ROW) | AHJ Research | Public Records Research | Landowner Coordination | Document Preparation | Business Communications | Basic Excel | General Office Software | Katapult | CAD (supporting skill) Requirements Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required Experience: 2+ years of experience in a permitting, right-of-way, or technical project support role Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and experience in office policy and process management Experience with permitting, easement research, right-of-way, or public records required Excellent time management skills and the ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize. Strong oral and written communication skills Must be discrete; a commitment to maintaining company confidentiality and privacy guidelines is a requirement. Ability to read CAD plans and profile drawings. Cadastral Map Reading (skillset on how to read plat maps and of the like) Ability to manipulate CAD drawings. Ability to maintain production and quality metrics on all assigned duties and responsibilities. Problem solving skills and good judgement. Ability to collaborate with a multi department team. Able to pass a background check/drug test/driving record check. Computer literate – especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Ability to learn and operate proprietary software and other computer systems. Dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license and insurance Authorized to work in the United States Physical Requirements: Must be able to endure frequent, lengthy periods of sedentary work and sit for prolonged periods of time, including at a desk. Must be able to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time. Must have the physical ability to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing notes, and viewing a computer terminal; these activities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have the physical ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, often in a group setting. Ability to perform fieldwork, including driving, walking long distances, navigating uneven terrain, and working near roadways Ability to lift and carry safety equipment weighing up to approximately 40 pounds as needed.
