We are hiring a full-time Technical Project Analyst to support the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy (IBP). The IBAS program is designed to ensure the resilience, security and technological superiority of the U.S. defense industrial base. We are seeking candidates with experience supporting projects/programs in the following technical sectors or similar: Defense Industrial Base Manufacturing – advanced manufacturing, castings and forgings, machining/machine tools. Hypersonic/kinetic weapons Munitions and Missiles Please note: The position is primarily remote, however you must live within driving distance of Alexandria, VA for on-site customer meetings at the Mark Center as needed. Responsibilities Support requirements generation, verification, and validation for planned program investments. Attend technical Working Group meetings, capture meeting minutes/actions and follow up on action items. Support technical lead (s) in preparing written work products (e.g., talking points, briefings, etc.) to support RFIs from chain of command, senior DoD leadership, interagency partners, Congress, etc. Routinely review and update technical project programmatic information. Evaluate issues and providing recommendations related to cost, schedule, and performance for current and planned program investments. Develop written communications products such as briefings, talking points, and read-ahead materials. Education/Qualifications Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Dept. of Defense SECRET clearance. Bachelors in engineering or a relevant technical field. 4 years of additional relevant technical work experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. 4+ years of project management experience. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and/or lead projects and to monitor the project’s cost, schedule, and performance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Strong oral and written communications capabilities. Ability to proactively provide recommendations to manager and team members. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high performing team. Ability to support on-site customer meetings at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA as needed. Preferred: Master's degree in engineering or a relevant technical field. Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts and methods. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification. Understanding of the Dept. of Defense's Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) acquisition process. Understanding of Dept. of Defense's Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) process. Experience supporting one Industrial Base Technical Sectors such as: Defense Industrial Base Manufacturing (advanced manufacturing, castings and forgings, machining/machine tools.)
