REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Technical Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) with proven experience in water process selection, industrial water treatment systems design, and chemical injection packages. 1-2 years of experience in electrical and automation capabilities is desirable.
  • Mechanical Engineers with 2-4 years of experience in water treatment are also encouraged to apply.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, piping, electrical systems, and materials compatibility with common chemicals and specialties.
  • Familiarity with control and monitoring instrumentation, with a strong emphasis on digital systems for project implementation.

  • Fluent in both Italian (required) and English.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, primarily within Italy.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the engineering team from project inception to define scope, identify technical risks, and develop the best technical solutions to create a competitive advantage for Solenis. This includes troubleshooting complex issues at customer sites.
  • Supervise or lead site surveys, conceptual designs, and basic design phases, ensuring optimal technical and economic solutions that balance operational expenses (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX).
  • Evaluate project specifications, verify compliance with purchase order requirements, and establish execution schedules, ensuring proper staffing for each phase of construction and equipment installation.
  • Define technical specifications and procedures for each phase of the project, working closely with the engineering team to assist the purchasing department when issuing purchase orders to sub-suppliers.
  • Conduct ongoing inspections of project work, ensuring conformance to design specifications, and liaising with both internal and external teams regarding plan preparation, acceptance testing, design modifications, and reports.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and diagnostics for existing OEM contracts, managing internal and external resources as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure alignment with Solenis’ core values and goals.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational and maintenance contracts, enhancing the company’s Solutions Provider Strategy.
  • Supervise the installation of new equipment at various sites, coordinating with local workers, leading start-ups, and ensuring successful commissioning performance.
