Our focus is always on high quality, professionalism and clear, measurable results. We are now seeking a Technical Project Lead – Smart Buildings, Energy Optimization & IoT- for one of our clients. About the assignment: For our client in Skåne we are looking for a Technical Project Lead to drive and coordinate initiatives within smart buildings, energy optimization, and IoT-enabled property solutions. The role operates at the intersection of Operational Technology (OT), IT systems, and property operations, acting as a key integrator across stakeholders, platforms, and vendors. The assignment focuses on enabling data-driven energy optimization and scalable smart building solutions through strong technical understanding and structured project leadership. Main responsibilities *Lead and coordinate projects within smart heating control, energy optimization, and connected building solutions. *Act as the primary interface between property operations, IT platforms, and System vendors and partners. *Define and govern technical integration requirements. *Drive decisions related to system architecture, integrations, and data flows. * Support procurement, vendor management, and technical evaluations. * Ensure successful implementation of IoT-enabled solutions across multiple systems. Required qualifications: NOTE: The customer is open to candidates with strong integration and IoT understanding even if not all OT domains are fully covered. The consultant should have demonstrated experience and understanding within two or more of the following: Building Automation & OT - Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) and controllers - HVAC systems and district heating environments - Smart building technologies and OT environments - Data collection and monitoring from property systems - Understanding of data extraction and operational data usage IT & System Integration - IT infrastructure and system architecture - Integration patterns and data flows - Cloud-based platforms and connected systems - Ability to engage in technical dialogue with developers, integrators, and vendors API & IoT Communication - REST APIs (design, authentication, formats such as JSON/XML) - System-to-system integration principles - MQTT protocol (brokers, topics, device-to-cloud communication) - Understanding of secure and event-driven communication - Ability to define requirements and guide implementation (not necessarily develop) Project Management - Proven experience leading technical implementation projects - Strong stakeholder and vendor coordination capabilities - Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications - Demonstrated planning and execution skills in complex environments Meritorious: The customer merits experience in one or more of the following areas: *IoT & Platforms - IoT platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, Yggio, Siemens Insights Hub - Device lifecycle management and edge computing *Monitoring & Analytics - Tools such as Grafana, Power BI - Monitoring platforms and energy analytics solutions - Dashboarding and visualization *Energy Optimization - Smart heating optimization - Demand response and energy flexibility - Energy analytics and utility integrations Personal Chararacteristics: - Technically strong with an analytical mindset - Structured and solution-oriented - Comfortable leading complex technical discussions - Self-driven and proactive - Strong communicator, able to bridge business, operations, and technology stakeholders Candidates typically come from environments such as: - Smart buildings / building automation - Energy management / utilities - IoT solutions / system integration - Industrial automation or PropTech Additional information The assignment is 100% and allows Hybrid-work, with a minimum of 60% at the Customer office in Lund or Customer project sites. The assignment starts in the beginning of September and will continue for 12 months, with a high chance of extension.
