THE ROLE
AARNet is seeking a dedicated Technical Project Manager within the Infrastructure Development Group (IDG) to support the delivery of critical technical and new capability projects.
In the role you will drive and be accountable for the successful delivery of technical projects that support AARNet’s network to service Australia’s academic and research community. You will be accountable for safely delivering to schedule, scope and budget while managing a varied stakeholder set. You have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, you collaborate effectively and are able to lead cross-functional project teams. A delivery focus and can-do attitude will ensure that you deliver project outcomes in and environment with cross-business dependencies and technical ambiguity.
Substantial experience managing technical or network projects in the telecommunications, or a similar infrastructure industry will be essential to understanding your scope and dependencies. You are an excellent problem solver and your ability to interpret information to anticipate roadblocks, create plans and develop pragmatic solutions to project problems while bringing others along with you will ensure success.
