DL MANUFACTURING is the industry leader in inventing, designing and building unique, patented loading dock products for Fortune 500 companies that upgrade safety and productivity.
DL Manufacturing is seeking a results-driven Technical Project Manager to join our Service & Installation Team. This key role serves as a technical liaison across departments—Sales, Production, Engineering, and Field Service—ensuring the successful quoting, planning, and installation of our unique loading dock equipment systems. The Project Manager is responsible for improving system processes, supporting field technicians, and ensuring projects are completed accurately, safely, and efficiently from concept to completion. This position has a travel component of 10-20% both local and out of state.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Service, Engineering, or Construction of overhead door or similar mechanical installations.
  • Valid Driver’s License (travel required).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in both office and job site environments.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to prepare and support field crews for mechanical overhead door and related equipment installations.
  • Analyze surveys, drawings, and quotes to develop effective installation plans.
  • Review build sheets and documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Support field technicians with training, troubleshooting, and on-site assistance.
  • Communicate with Sales and Engineering to align project goals and specs.
  • Oversee logistics for equipment and material delivery to job sites.
  • Provide top-tier customer service and field support.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in installation methods and project planning.
