Summary
We are looking for a “Technical Project Manager FCAS (f/m/d)” for the “Solution and Cross Functional Engineering” department in Ulm or Immenstaad as soon as possiblThe “Solution and Cross Functional Engineering” department is responsible for the system design, definition and development of cockpit systems, navigation and mission support systems, as well as the corresponding sensor technology for helicopters and airplanes.
In the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) Systems of Systems (SoS) team, you will be responsible for planning, setting up and coordinating the various FCAS - NSDAS solution sensor network demonstrations. The consolidation of the required technologies as well as the validation of suitable new technologies are also part of your tasks in the position as Technical Coordinator/Manager NSDAS Solution Integration and Demonstration in the FCAS Systems of Systems Team.
As part of the FCAS core team, you will work together with the interdisciplinary development teams involved.

Your Tasks

  • Management and responsibility for the successful implementation of the technical integration and demonstrations of the Solutions projects in close cooperation with the project managers and the development teams involved
  • Responsibility for development progress and the achievement of milestones in terms of time, cost and quality
  • Preparation of project plans (schedules, resource allocation and budget control)
  • Participation in the preparation and preparation of offers and support of workshare negotiations with international partners
  • Coordination of interdisciplinary teams, including leading the technical development teams / working groups involved
  • Ensuring effective communication and close cooperation between the project teams, specialist departments, program areas and suppliers
  • Initiating necessary measures in the event of deviations from the planned development target

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, communications engineering or comparable
  • Many years of practical experience in project management of complex development projects and in managing subcontractors
  • Extensive experience in system engineering / architecture / design and/or software development, integration and demonstration
  • Strong technical interest and technological understanding in the use of new technologies
  • Efficient, results-oriented and responsible way of working
  • Fluent German and very good English skills
