EXPERIENCE WE WANT TO SEE

• Strong experience in a project management or product owner role, managing complex technical projects
• Experience in driving internal cross-organizational projects and initiatives is a plus
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Ability to work in a team that works from different time zones
• Experience with a Linux operating system as an administrator or developer is a plus
• Proven experience with container technologies is a plus
• Knowledge about SUSE’s product portfolio is a plus
• Knowledge about software delivery and packaging technologies, like RPM, containers, and the Open Build Service is a plus
• Strong focus on automation

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

SUSE’s Maintenance Coordination team provides premium service and fast software updates to keep our world-wide customers’ businesses safe and running. To support the Maintenance Coordination team we are looking for a Technical Project Manager who will be responsible to drive projects that create new processes or improves existing ones to ensure high quality and short delivery time of software updates for SUSE’s product portfolio.
Note: This is a temporary employee contract for 1 year.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Drive projects that create new processes or improves existing ones to ensure high quality and short delivery time of software updates
• Support engineering teams that develop products using leading edge technologies to ensure maintainability at an enterprise level
• Represent the Maintenance Coordination team and its needs across departments by communication with several other project managers, team leads, and department leads
• Engage in planning of new products and product changes
• Deliver maintenance for our products with a lifetime of 13+ years
