Why this role is different At Orderly, Technical Project Managers play a central role in delivery. You’ll be working across teams to ensure projects are planned properly, resourced realistically, and delivered to a high standard. This role sits at the intersection of customer needs, technical execution, and commercial outcomes. You’ll need to be comfortable making trade-offs, challenging assumptions, and keeping delivery focused on what matters most. What you’ll be doing As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll take end-to-end responsibility for project delivery, including: Developing and maintaining clear project plans, schedules, and delivery milestones Working with the team to ensure projects are planned and resourced appropriately Facilitating strong communication across teams, stakeholders, and sponsors, ensuring decisions are shared at the right time and in the right format Proactively identifying risks and issues early, removing blockers, and escalating when needed Driving delivery in line with team revenue targets and monthly delivery goals Leading resource allocation, scheduling, and tracking, taking ownership without needing heavy oversight Ensuring deliverables meet high-quality standards, aligning outcomes to success metrics Taking responsibility for increasingly complex projects, understanding the broader organisational context Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across functions Supporting team collaboration and mentoring others by sharing learnings and best practices Staying up to date with project management methodologies and industry trends Creating a positive, high-performing delivery culture where issues are raised early and solved quickly A typical week might include… Running planning sessions to ensure upcoming work is clearly scoped and deliverable Managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities and aligning them around clear decisions Tracking progress against delivery goals and surfacing risks before they become problems Coordinating Engineering, Product and Customer teams to unblock delivery Managing changes in scope and ensuring the right trade-offs are made Keeping delivery focused on outcomes, not activity What we’re looking for Essential requirements Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in a tech environment Strong understanding of project management tools and delivery methodologies Demonstrated ability to manage delivery against commercial targets and monthly delivery goals Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate clearly across teams A track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope Confidence working across different methodologies and adapting to the needs of the work Ability to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment This role isn’t for you if… You prefer projects with fixed scope, predictable timelines, and minimal ambiguity You avoid difficult conversations or struggle to challenge stakeholders when needed You need detailed direction before taking action You prefer working within one team rather than coordinating across multiple functions You are uncomfortable balancing delivery pressure with quality expectations You see project management as reporting status rather than driving outcomes The details Job Title: Technical Project Manager Contract: Fixed-term contract (9 months) Location: Remote (UK) Salary: £45,000–£65,000 (depending on experience) Department: Project Management Reports to: Head of Implementation Inclusivity statement At Orderly, we value diversity, creativity, and continuous learning.
