InnoVet Health, a small and growing business that provides health IT professional services to the Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for a Project Manager (PM) with data science experience who can provide direction on multiple advanced analytics and AI/ML projects, and interface with customers ensuring excellent delivery. The ideal candidate will have a combination of Agile delivery data analysis and business skills. The position offers a stimulating consulting environment, interacting with senior staff at government agencies. This position is full-time and does not require relocating (work from home). The pay, benefits, and growth potential are competitive.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with a 5+ years of relevant experience with project management for medium and large healthcare IT teams .
  • Healthcare IT and data analytics background required.
  • Fluent in Project Management tools – MS Project, MS Office, JIRA, OneNote, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Ability to effectively interface with customers, handle customer issues, manage meetings, etc.
  • Ability to organize information and present project status and issues to leadership and diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated; able to operate with minimal guidance. Interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, multi-tasking, organization skills and flexibility required.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication (verbal and writing) skills.
  • US citizen required. No Visa sponsorship can be supported.

    Responsibilities
    • Responsibilities include managing project scope, risks, and objectives with an emphasis on specific applications of data science.
    • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking, risk management and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
    • Key point of contact for various stakeholders including customer project managers, decision makers, and IT teams. Presents regular program status to customer, leadership and makea recommendations on improving business processes. Responsible for customer satisfaction.
    • Manage the integration of team tasks and tracks and reviews project deliverables and own overall responsibility for projects deliverables.
    • Manage team resources, provides business, technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Identify issues/changes, provide solutions, and assign tasks and monitor progress to stay on schedule and on budget.
    • Track and manage multiple advanced analytics and AI/ML projects using agile workflows (Kanban, scrum, and data-driven scrum)
    • Develop and maintain project plans including scope, tasks, assignments, timeline, dependencies, and risks
    • Manage teams, project tasks, risks & issues, and overall responsibility for projects delivery
    • Assist team members with development of Key Analytics Questions, help refine research objectives and goals.
    • Manage stakeholders’ requests and expectations; provide updates to project sponsors.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and legal requirements (e.g., IRB)
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and implement practical solutions
