Job Summary As a Technical Project Manager, you should possess strong leadership and communication skills, be well-versed in project management methodologies, and have a solid understanding of technical concepts relevant to the projects you manage. Adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work under pressure are also crucial for success in this role. As a Technical Project Manager, you will have hands-on technical experience in executing technology solutions and be responsible for managing cloud data engagements end to end, and ensure the proposed plans are built, adheres to the timeline, budget and scope. Your duties include planning projects in detail, setting schedules for all stakeholders and executing each step of the project. Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Create a detailed project plan that includes tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, timeline, resources, effort, assumptions, cost and other key project metrics Define and delegate tasks to the project teams of data engineers, data scientists, etc by defining a proper pyramid structure with clear understanding of team roles and responsibilities Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and proactively address issues. Implement effective project tracking and reporting mechanisms to provide timely updates to stakeholders. Assemble and lead a cross-functional team of technical professionals. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and facilitate effective communication among team members. Lead and manage the project team in executing project tasks and activities. Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement cloud architectures that meet project requirements. Establish governance structure to ensure proper stakeholder management (external and internal), status reporting, identify risks, mitigation plan and ensure timely completion of accepted work assignment from client Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, requirements, specifications, and other relevant information. Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization. Establish quality assurance processes and conduct regular reviews and audits. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing. Qualifications: Graduate or Postgraduate in any relevant field of study related to Computer Science and Information Technology Minimum 7-10 years of IT experience in managing delivery and interfacing with key project stakeholders At least 2 years’ experience managing cloud data engagements like data migration, data lake/data warehouse build, data engineering, data science projects. Hands-on experience in modern cloud data stack (e.g., Databricks, Spark, Python, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) Hands-on knowledge of implementation of PM tools and techniques (like Jira, Trello, Zoho projects, Redmine) Experience in managing and building Agile engineering project best practices Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
