KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • M.Sc. in Aerospace/Telecommunications Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Project Management in the space industry.
  • Experience in writing documentation and managing proposal applications.
  • Experience with project management methodologies, including estimation of budgets, generation and monitoring of project plans, assessment of risks, etc.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, make decisions accordingly and delegate when necessary.
  • Negotiatoin skills, explore alternatives and generate win-win scenarios.
  • Self-starter who works with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to adapt to change in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • IMPORTANT: Already a resident in Europe or has European visa
Responsibilities
  • Prepare proposals documentation for projects in the field of satellite communications and space, describing objectives, scope, work breakdown structure, required resources, and implementation approach.
  • Estimate project budgets, including personnel costs, travel, capital expenditures, etc.
  • Prepare project plans describing the main activities to be performed and their duration.
  • Manage project, coordinate and lead project team, effective and clear communications, and ensure project due-dates are met on time.
  • Coordinate project activities and resources as normal work. Based on project objectives and due dates, decide on priorities, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Monitor labour costs and other project expenditures to avoid cost overruns with respect to planned budget.
  • Identify project risks and estimate their impact (severity and probability). Propose possible mitigation strategy in coordination with technical and management. Monitor critical risks evolution.
  • Coordinate and manage relationship with suppliers in alignment with project needs and timeline.
  • Coordinate with internal product and quality assurance department to make sure project respect PA policies.
  • Act as a contact point and coordinate activities with ESA, LSA, and European Commissions for various projects.
  • Prepare relevant project documentation for milestones and reviews, including plans, presentations, progress reports and contracts closure documentation.
  • Lead contractual negotiations, facilitating clarification and resolution of possible discrepancies.
