About the Role
Gaea Global Technologies Inc., is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of a Project Management Information System (PMIS) for one of our key clients in the data center infrastructure sector. This highly client-facing role will focus on standardizing and streamlining critical project lifecycle processes to improve visibility, control, and execution across all project phases.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for the client and internal teams, responsible for driving process development, system configuration, integration, testing, training, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle implementation of the PMIS, from planning through post-deployment support.
- Facilitate process standardization for key project lifecycle areas including:
- Project Intake & Initiation
- Planning & Scheduling (Primavera P6)
- Estimation & Budgeting
- Commitments & Approvals
- Change Control (RFI, PCOs, Transfers)
- Earned Value (% Complete)
- Actuals & Performance Reporting
- Work closely with client stakeholders and internal SMEs to gather requirements, define workflows, and ensure successful adoption.
- Define and implement system integrations and data flow strategies between PMIS and other platforms (e.g., scheduling, finance, document management).
- Drive change management, documentation, training, and support efforts with client project teams.
- Manage project timelines, risks, budgets, and deliverables with strong accountability.
- Translate complex scheduling and reporting needs into scalable solutions within Primavera P6 and integrated systems.
- Prepare and lead client-facing meetings, status updates, and executive presentations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical project management, with a strong focus on software implementation and process development.
- Proven track record leading PMIS implementations or similar enterprise project systems (e.g., PMWeb, EcoSys, Unifier, or custom tools).
- Deep expertise with Primavera P6: schedule development, cost/resource loading, reporting, baselines, and schedule governance.
- Strong understanding of capital project delivery and controls processes across the full lifecycle.
- Experience designing and optimizing project workflows and integrating with financial systems or ERPs.
- Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to manage expectations, negotiate scope, and deliver solutions.
- Experience with data center, infrastructure, or construction project environments preferred.
- Familiarity with project controls concepts such as earned value, change orders, and cost forecasting.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL for reporting and analytics.
- Background in engineering, construction, or infrastructure program delivery.
- Prior consulting experience a plus.
Work will be performed from a home-based office with up to 25% travel possible during peak.
