Description

Bunge is searching for you to take on a crucial technical leadership/project manager role that will and oversee the execution of projects related to renewable fuels CAPEX on European level.
We are looking for a champion in all areas of safety who will ensure adequate process and construction safety is embedded in all capital projects.
As Technical Project Manager (Renewable Fuels) your responsibility is to oversee the successful design, execution, implementation, and post implementation review of key capital projects. You will lead specific projects on site (existing or new) as required or strategic optimization projects including technical standards gap assessments, alignment, and new standards implementation. You will be our technical lead in the areas of CAPEX management and provide technical/process guidance and assessments.

Responsibilities

HERE IS THE SUMMARY OF ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the execution (all MCPPP phases) of the major capital projects in the renewable fuels area as agreed with the project Steering Committee; lead strategic projects as required;
  • Support the CAPEX preparation for all phases of the project applications from a technical perspective;
  • Manage the stage-gate development process as required
  • Specify minimum standards/engineering standards for facility. Ensure that the global technical standards are available and used in the region to ensure safe and reliable design plants and grain silos;
  • Approval of suppliers, together with the purchasing area and business areas;
  • Ensure consistent and accurate reporting on project implementation and Schedules management;
  • Work with external consultants and partners in prospecting, contracting, and conducting collaboration projects;
  • Ensure expert networks collaboration and liaise with the Global best practice leaders to ensure alignment of practices and standards in the renewable fuel projects. Disseminate the basic concepts of Project Management through periodic training for those involved;
  • Identifies, negotiates and supports the resolution to issues within and between various streams/stakeholders, as needed.

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE ROLE?

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master or MBA preferred) in engineering; Chemical, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical/Automation related engineering preferred;
  • 20+years engineering experience with at least 10 years of experience managing others;
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in oils chemistry, engineering and operations;
  • 10 years’ experience in management of major engineering/construction projects including estimating, scheduling and cost control required; experience in oilseeds handling and processing is preferred;
  • Working knowledge of safety, environmental, sustainability, quality and continuous improvement;
  • Project management methodologies proficiency;
  • Understanding of the Total Cost of Ownership Concepts;
  • General understanding of business performance indicators as WACC, RONA and project economics;
  • Must possess a demonstrated high degree of tact in dealing with both plant staff and craft personnel;
  • Travelling availability around 25% of the time.
